Loving this sort of spring dressing for when the weather turns nice. Three fourth length sleeves and shorts balance out the cooler and warmer parts of the day in spring. The mix of sweet and proper stripes and sandals looks so good mixed with 'tougher' silver jewelry. Loving these fun tap shorts with more refined items, makes you feel so pulled together.

S P R I N G T H A N G.

Here's hoping to spring! This spring i want to feel classic and fresh, while still keeping my own sense of self. One thing i'm lusting over are classic jackets with fun embellishments. Something to ward off the nip of the spring rain. High waisted bell bottoms are another spring must, flattering and fun, while still slipping on an easy basic. Platform sandals are my every spring must, i always opt for pairs that you can wear from day to night. This year i want a pair in a bright color for extra pizazz. Another spring must is this style of high waisted and pleated short- it's beyond flattering, and a great night-out staple. Something new i'm trying are skinny belts in fresh, bright hues. Lime green, hot pink, and periwinkle are at the top of my list. Whats on your hits list?

Heading out to a hot weather vacation in less than a month, and i am gearing up. Bright blues and reds, chunky sandals, and classic bags- all what i'm craving! Anything red really catches my eye lately, its such an under used color, personally i can't believe its taken me this long to realize it! And did you know Dolce Vita was doing a line for Target? Me neither, but now that i know, i'm off to get these wonderful wedges on my lunch break tomorrow!

In lieu of wishing it was spring, i'm preparing my spring wardrobe. Think 70s babe with high waisted bell bottoms, silky tops, platforms, and big sunglasses. Gap just came out with these new bell bottoms and i can't wait to get my hands on these. I especially love the skinnier leg version, seems like a great fit for now and for the hotter weather of spring and summer. Gap has the best jeans, highly recommended.

2 0 1 1 I N S T Y L E.

Since i haven't done a Pocket Wardrobe in a while, here is my 2011 style. Its a mix of things im striving for, i.e. style resolutions, and style predictions. For item details go here.

1. Save to buy only nice shoes. No more uncomfortable, wear em' once, type shoes.

2. Soft, dewy, makeup. Corals and pinks for the face, moccas and creams on nails, warm and rich looking.

3. Splurge for expensive work clothes. Things that aren't trendy, but are chic and timeless, small details that make a difference.

4. Striped shirts. I have a whole section for stripes in my closet, i lovee stripes. Im keeping stripes coming for 2011.

5. Nice, sturdy, all leather bags. Started this in 2010, but its nice to schlep around something quality.

6. Bell bottom jeans. Im bringing out my inner hippie, except im pairing these with sweaters and blouses.

7. Neutral colored sweaters. All different cuts, cropped, long, blousey, but all in shades of grey and beige.

8. Chunky jewelry. To combat all the neutrals, bright natural corals and turquoise, heavy metals, and interesting shapes, all over sized.

Im on a total 3.1 Phillip Lim kick, its exactly how i want to look, classy, sleek, and stylish. Since i've started a new office job, i've been struggling to fit 'my style' in with professional apparel. Although Phillip is quite out of my budget (like way), this is what im taking for inspiration when i go shopping. Chic classic pieces with excellent tailoring, unexpected details, and beyond fab shoes. Loving a sleek, smart looking pair of glasses, these ones totally fit the bill.

When reading Owl vs. Dove's post a while ago on ivy league style it got me thinking about clean fresh preppy outfits. Here is my version, best suited for Saturday morning, preferably with coffee and magazine reading.
A classic men's style watch with stripes and leopard print- mix matched, all with loose jeans and smart glasses. Add in red lips and a smart luxurious purse and you're set. This is what you'll catch me in this Saturday, perusing the flea market stalls for some new finds.

Mix and match with various scarfs and red lips and your set for wine tasting, horse racing, and new city embracing.

This is my uniform, loose striped tee, fuller black skirt, chunky shoes. I wear this outfit almost weekly. It can be dressed down for errands and running around town during the day, or dressed up to hit the town at night. You can also do the business casual version and throw on a blazer for work. Throw in some dark nails and chunky jewelry and your set.

Im so into fresh flowers, so i threw some fresh daffodils into the bag, like you just picked them up on the way home from work.

I also searched high and low thrifting this weekend for a classic jacket like this. Its very impossible to find one without crazy shoulders.

CRAVINGS: Since we are having a bit of cooler weather i have been thinking of fall. Cozying up to warm knits, drinking chai lattes, and watching movies on the couch, all delicious fall activities. Here are the fall basics i am craving.

Army jackets (thank goodness i already have this one covered), khaki jackets and furs, warm scarfs to wrap up in, and cool statement glasses. Leather clutches to throw under your arm on the go, and super high heels to feel extra glamorous.

Here in the states tomorrow is 4th of July, a time to wear your red, white, and blue pride. Many bbq's, parades, and get-togethers are happening. Here is my outfit for a casual backyard party.
I made sure to include a little sweater because they usually last into the night so that you can see the fireworks. And flats are a necessity, your in the grass grilling, playing corn hole, etc. you can't be sinking in heels.

This is my vacation suitcase, we are going to the beach. Lots of sunbathing, swimming, biking, and dining.
Im bringing a whole slew of sunglasses to fit whatever mood im in, two beach hats to shade my face, cute flat sandals to go to the pool in, as many bathing suits as i can fit into my bag, crop tops cause its so hot out, and a few nicer outfit to do day excursions in.
I think its so important to bring lots of options to the beach, a girl can get tired of one pair of shades for the whole week. And as you can tell im so into this coral color, my suitcase is just filled with it. Oh and easy jewelry, something you can throw on over your suit but won't leave you with nasty tan lines.
I have a day or two left before vaca, but i wanted to show you whats going in my bag as im packing it.
