I'm going on vacation in a day, (i've posted on it before (here, here.) I love vacations, you can wear whatever you want and feel totally great, feel free to don that sheer tropical cover up, while sipping margs by the pool, totally glamorous.

For this vacation i am only going to be there for four days, so i want to pack simple separates that i can mix and match. Separates that are chic, for out to dinner and shopping or straight to the pool. Now i totally didn't bring enough from my city house to my parents house (we're leaving from here,) so i'm really going to need to be mixing and matching. And i forgot to pack flats or something, probs not appropriate to fly from my cold weather northern state in cork wedges, whoops!

Loving: Creamy teal bathrooms with utilitarian fixtures, pastelie colors mixed with lots o' pleats, and interestingly organized spaces with reclaimed wood shelves.

Never been a big fan of teal but seeing this bathroom it made me want to spurge and dive into the unknown of this color. Mixed with the old school house sink, this bathroom is gracing the top of my inspiration folder.

All i want to do right now is laze around day dreaming, drink coffees, and watch movies on my down filled couch. I feel like working everyday is so time consuming, i never get to see the sun. I could use a nice relaxing bohemian summer right now. Wish i had a beautiful dream catcher like that.

Hello these boots are amazing, i have got the leopard fever and these would just quench my hunger.
With the seasons changing i have been thinking about my fashion rules. Now some people think i am crazy, and i agree there are exceptions to the rules but mostly these rules hold up.
1. There is a boot season and a sandal season. Once one comes out the other goes away. I think boots should only be worn in winter. (There is most def exceptions to this rule, but for the most part its true.) I put my boots away all summer as to not get tempted to wear them. And in turn i put my sandals away come the first cold day.
2. Leggings should always be worn with something that covers your buttock. No one wants to see the curvature in your butt, cover it up. Its much chicer to have something a little longer and fuller on top anyways.
3. Once your nails start to chip its time to take the polish off. Clean nails give a put together, classier feeling to your whole persona.
Now i know i have a bunch more but these are the general things i am thinking right now, and there is always instances where you can bend the rules! What are your rules?

I included this picture because i am dying, i am honestly dying, for long hair. I need it, mine isn't long enough, i want long flowy locks!! 3. Finding a new song/artist that you fall in love with, Meiko.
4. Acing that test you weren't sure about/Coming to class to find out it is canceled.
5. Going to the flea market/Getting a bargain.
6. Having an outfit idea that works out on just as it did in your head.
7. Getting a letter from your family out of the blue.
8. Successful baking, mini cakes anyone?
9. Finding the perfect shoes at a thrift store, my fav boots cost 50 cents!

I just found Emily's blog yesterday and am OBSESSED! Simple, chic, airy, and foodie (hah). I have recently been into baking and cooking a lot too, so this has some amazing ideas (homemade tortillas anyone?). When i get super into a blog i read back on old posts, keeping the tab open for days at a time. I read this post about things that ticked her off and i decided to make my own list.

1. Drivers not paying attention, although i do love to honk.
2. People who eat in class, arbys during class, ew stinky.
3. Snagging your sweater.
4. People who try to cheat off of you in class, i will tell on you!
5. Having nothing to wear/eat/do.
6. People who don't recycle, come on.
7. When the soles of your shoes wear out.
8. Recording the wrong show, i am serious about my tv.
9. Chipped nail polish, as a recovering nail biter this is the worst.
10. When they don't have your size in something you need/want.

Describe your personal style: Laid back, basics with a twist, dressy-ish.
What are the staples in your wardrobe? My black pleated skirt (i have to stop myself from wearing it all the time), my motorcycle boots (in winter), and my striped tees (a girl can never have to many.)
What's your signature look? I try to do unexpected things, usually, and i hate to wear the same outfit twice. But i would say some sort of high waisted skirt and shirt combo.
What inspires you? Feathers, beading, drape-y-ness, light as air-ness, all black or white outfits, proportion play.
Who is your fashion muse? I love real people, the girl at the grocery store with a full skirt and cute sandals, the girl around campus who is known as 'mary kate,' the girl in my neighborhood with baggy tops and flowing hair. I like to see how real people put together their outfits.
Favourite purchase of all time? Right now its boyfriend jeans, i haven't liked jeans in years, nor have i worn them in years, now im loving it and have bought 2 pairs.
Biggest splurge? My white chaise lounge couch, investment piece!
What's your beauty routine? Astringent rinse, moisturize, mascara, lipstick, hair do.
What jewelery do you never take off? A silver bracelet my love gave me for my birthday!
What are you wishing for? My best friend to come back to town, its been so long!
What are your obsessions? She Wolf, Meiko, orange-red lipstick, sales, bargain hunting, shopping at this local discount store-once a week, and closet organization, oh and right now space exploration (hence the picture.)

Honestly watch the video, i like when shes doing the stop and go dance moves, something you secretly wanna do but know your friends would make fun.
Obsessed with white zinfandel wine. Obsessed with finding strawberry suede lipstick, its sold out everywhere! Obsessed with crop tops but fall is coming.
